Michelle Pujadas

Founder and Co-CEO, Zer0 to 5ive

Michelle specializes in developing strategic marketing and communications programs that deliver measurable results. With more than 30 years of marketing and communications experience, Michelle understands what it takes to build brand awareness, and has done so for numerous clients ranging from small start-ups to large, public companies.

Michelle founded Zer0 to 5ive in May 1999 after recognizing that traditional agencies don’t have the depth of experienced resources to provide the strategy that many companies need. By combining research and strategy with implementation services, such as public relations, marketing and design, Zer0 to 5ive provides a single point of accountability and knowledge for its clients. As a result, clients and the Zer0 to 5ive team are better informed, better aligned and better armed to reach their marketing and communications goals.

Since 1999, Zer0 to 5ive has delivered award-winning marketing, strategy and communications services to more than 150 companies. Representing some of the most exciting technology companies in the industry, Michelle has helped to position and drive awareness and market growth for industry leaders such as Apple, Pearson Education, Carnegie Mellon’s School of Computer Science, AuthenTec, CashEdge, OraSure Technologies, Valencell, Safeguard Scientifics and Splice Machine, among others. Under her leadership, Zer0 to 5ive has won numerous accolades for its campaigns, public relations programs and design, including several Silver Anvil awards, Big Apple Awards, Webby Awards and Communicator Awards.

Michelle’s background includes a variety of high-profile positions. Michelle was Vice President of Marketing for Safeguard Scientifics, where she was responsible for building Safeguard into a nationally recognized brand; Senior Vice President at Ketchum Public Relations where she created and ran the technology practice group at Ketchum/Pittsburgh; and Vice President and Director of the Pittsburgh office of Crescent Communications.

While at Ketchum, Michelle won a Silver Anvil in the Integrated Marketing, Business-to-Business category for i2 Technologies’ 1998 Planet Conference – the first Silver Anvil associated with a technology company that Ketchum had ever received. She has also received the 2013 SmartCEO Brava Award for top 25 female CEOs in the Philadelphia area and has been recognized by the Devon Horse Show as a Volunteer of the Year along with her husband for their ongoing support. Michelle is frequently asked to present to entrepreneurs and marketers on brand building and developing go-to-market strategies and plans.

Michelle holds a B.S. in Technical Writing and Editing from Carnegie Mellon University. She also served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, where she successfully commanded a unit during the first Gulf War.
